The antibody does not cross-react with other Bcl-2 family members.Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly41 of human Bcl-2, a region not conserved in mouse or rat. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
