CAL Fluor® Orange 560 is an amidite which fluoresces in the yellow-orange region of the visible spectrum. CAL Fluor Orange 560 amidite is used for the 5' labeling of fluorogenic probes used in 5' nuclease assays, Molecular Beacons™, and other genomic assays. This amidite does not contain a DMT protecting group and therefore can only be added to the 5' terminus of the oligo. BHQ®-1 will quench the CAL Fluor Orange 560 moiety. CAL Fluor Orange 560 is an alternative for VIC™ and HEX™.
