Quasar® 670 carboxy acid is used to label peptides, oligonucleotides or functionalized amines. Quasar 670 is an indocarbocyanine which fluoresces in the red region of the visible spectrum; it excites at 644 nm and emits at 670 nm. This compound is a direct replacement for Cy™5. BHQ®-2 will quench the Quasar 670 moiety.
