From modified bases to fluorescent reporter and quencher labels, Biosearch offers a complete array of modifications for 3', 5' and internal labeling. The 3-BHQ0 modification adds a non-fluorescent Black Hole Quencher®-0 dye to the 3’ end of an oligonucleotide. 3' BHQ®-0 labeled oligonucleotides are used in a wide array of applications, including dual-labeled fluorogenic probes for real-time PCR. The BHQ-0 dark quencher has strong absorption from 430 nm to 520 nm, which provides excellent quenching of fluorophores that fluoresce in this range.
